Drake Would Love Me

Lyric

The crowd is in tears and going crazy as I sing my #1 hit "Shattered Hearts". I guess you can call me the female Drake since he is my favorite artist. Meeting him was everything I always dreamed of. To see my fans worship me makes me feel like I'm on top of the world. I sing the song with so much soul and passion; I bring tears to my own eyes. When I'm done, I bow and retreat backstage to be greeted by a kiss from my husband, Michael.

"You did wonderful tonight babe."

"Thank you sweetie."

“I'll wait on you for the after party."

"Okay, I'll be ready in a sec."

I walk to my dressing room to get changed into my second outfit.

As I get my face beat, I think about Michael and I. All that earlier was just a publicity stunt. Things aren't like they used to be when we first got married. He seems so distant. We barely even touch each other. Sometimes I think he's fucking around on me with some home wrecker but I have too much trust in him to believe it. But of course we're the most perfect couple in front of camera. I'm a singer, and he's an actor. Tabloids are something we both don't want, but them actually being true is a big no, no. So, I'm going to put a smile on and act happy for my fans.

I must say that the after party was a success even though Michael was acting weird. He was stuck to his male friends that he made in the industry with only minimal appearances with me, but it still worked for the cameras.

As the limo pulls up, Michael helps me in, but he doesn't get in. He just holds the door.

"Um… why don't you just wait for me at home? A journalist wants to give me a personal interview about that upcoming movie gig I got."

"Really Michael?! You're going to let me go home by myself!"

"Hey, keep it down. You really want to do this here? What's wrong with you? Phil is going to be there on duty to guard the house. You should be fine."

"Of course, but I feel like you've been distant lately. I never see you anymore."

"That's crazy. Look, I'll see you tonight, and I'll do that thing that you used to like. Remember?" He winks and gives me that smile, the one that made me melt in the first place.

All the hostility I had felt before was gone, and I broke out my shy and innocent smile. "Mhmmm. I guess."

"So I'll see you then right?"

"Yea. I love you."

"Ok. See you then." He closes the door.

So typical of him. He couldn't even say he loved me back.

That night I waited up for him into the wee hours. Personal interview my ass.

I hadn’t realized I’d dozed off until I heard him bump into something trying to creep in. My eyes are just gazing as I feel him sit slowly on the other side of the bed.
